These are the qualities that we teach and expect all our Capoeira Mandinga instructors to have. We provide constant instructors training and are in the process of developing an instructor's program not only for Capoeira Mandinga but for any capoeiristas interested in pursuing a teaching career.

Have a unique psychology on his/her teaching that will match each student's needs.

Creativity and versatility in the classes, remembering to always focus on the foundation training. Innovating, fun, relaxed and possible and firm when needed.

Consistent enough with the training in order to create a change and observant enough to change the training when needed.

Honest and capable of making constructive criticism in order to promote student's improvement but also to give students acknowledgements of their progression even by the smallest degree.

Respectful to peoples' “limitations” and capable of directing the training for these same people to achieve their maximum potential.

Willing to solve problems and have conflict resolution based on fairness to all people involved in any disagreement having in mind that building community is our model, supporting the personal growth of each individual is our hope, and maintaining a healthy environment in class is our responsibility.

Capable of accepting and defending the group’s goals; respecting and defending our constitution and our mission statement.

Willing and open to grow and learn more and more not only from the highest rank master but also from the newest beginner regardless of his or her age, athletic experience, racial back ground, sex or gender, religious orientation, or any other characteristic that would make such a person a minority or an out of the ordinary towards the instructors' cultural, emotional or intellectual background.
Humble to frequently announce to the students of their (instructor) own limitations based on this instructor’s ranking (or belt) and/or time practicing capoeira and also open to being taught, corrected and criticized in front of your own students by other higher levels or visiting professores contra-mestres and mestres.

Committed to training frequently and maintaining a good example of a well fit instructor and well-informed on the art of capoeira and its related activities as well as well-informed of the progression of the fitness, martial arts and capoeira world.

Able to support and encourage people of different spiritual beliefs to feel welcome and accepted in our community and classes even if the instructor is an atheist.

Having training and basic knowledge on first aid and CPR and willing to assist not only capoeira practitioners but also anyone in need of assistance anywhere in the world.
