Kids Capoeira Classes
Our Capoeira classes for kids are divided in two different categories:
Kids ages 3-5 we call it Bentivi Program (ben-tee-vee)
Kids ages 6-12 we call it Sabiá Program (sah-bee-ah)
BENTIVI:
The Bentivi program is design for kids to be introduced to capoeira with lots of fun games, tumbling and some circle time where they will sing a simple capoeira song and be introduced to a simple music instrument to to learn a simple rhythm. This program runs in a 8 weeks program but new kids may join in at any time.
Classes happens every Tuesday and Thursdays from 4-4:45pm and from 4:45-5:30. Space is limited as we try not to have more than 9 kids enrolled per class. When kids achieve a transition age of 5 to 6 years old the instructor will suggest for them to move the the next group level of the Sabiá Program. OBS. Please note that different kids achieve a different body coordination development sooner or later and we might suggest for some kids to move up to the next group at an earlier or later time based on their individual needs.
Sabiá:
This is a program for kids ages 6-12 and it is a program more directed towards learning capoeira and its multilateral aspects such as: martial-art, gymnastics, singing and playing the capoeira percussion music instruments. There is an evaluation process that will happen every 4 months not as in a pass of fail basis but to assist the instructor's to know how the kids are doing and help them to achieve the requirements for the next belt level.
Classes Prices:
Casses' prices vary depending on number of classes per week and on the length of the monthly chosen plan. Average class prices goes from $7 to $15 per class. Special 20% family discount applies to additional direct family member. Private classes are available upon request.
Attire:
We request that for the first trial classes students use loose pants (sweat pants style) and any t-shirt. After that all students will be required to purchase our school uniform. We train in bare foot or martial-art/dance shoes.

PARKING:
You may find lots of parking spots at a public parking behind the CVS Pharmacy on 41st & Piedmont just a block away from the academy. Free after 6 pm and on Sundays.
