Capoeira Mandinga Batizado and Formatura:
Every year we have a graduation cerimony called Batizado (baptism) where some of our capoeira students receive their first belts and others are promoted to their next belt level. This year of 2012 we will hold an special event as a few of our students are going to a much higher graduation level. Some of them will receive their contra-mestre belt wich is the highest instructor's belt before becoming a master. One other will be promoted to a mestre level and two more to the next mestre level.
The event will take place at our academy during the Memorial day weekend with a series of special workshops with the mestres from out of town, a show and the graduation cerimony on Sunday (May 24-28). More detailed information including the prices for the even will be posted here soon.

You may find lots of parking spots at a public parking behind the CVS Pharmacy on 41st & Piedmont just a block away from the academy. Free after 6 pm and on Sundays.
